Summertime Sewing is Here Again!

Hello Everyone!

I can’t believe another year has flown by and summer vacation is just a few short weeks away. If time permits, come sew with me during the summer months in my home classroom. After 6 years of having structured camps for the 12 weeks of summer, I have decided this year to have sewing by appointment.

What does that mean? It means that sewers can sign up for sewing when it is convenient for them during the summer and based on availability

How long are the classes? Sewers may sign up for 1 day or all 5 days during any given week. Classes are run in 3 hour increments. Morning sessions are 10 AM - 1PM and afternoon sessions are 1 PM - 4PM. All day classes run 10AM -4:30PM with lunch between classes.

What if I am a working mom or dad? Full days can be worked out with before and after care. I can be available as early as 7AM and as late as 7PM (fee is $10/hr). Kids can relax or continue to sew on their projects.

How about weekends? By appointment based on availability

What will they be doing? The nice part of this offer is that my sewers can design classes based on their needs and interests. Sew what you would like to sew. Choose from one of my sewing topics or design your own schedule based on your interests. Purchase kits, fabrics, and notions from my shop or bring your own....it's easy!

What does it cost? This year I have tried to structure my prices as low as possible. Prices do not include fabrics, notions, or kits which are available for purchase in my shop or you may purchase your own.

• Casual Drop- In: The rate for sewers signing up for 1 day in any given week is $20/hour or $60 per day for a 3 hour session. Sewers must sign up for at least a session which is a 3 hour class but can sew for the entire day by signing up for both classes. Both classes are $17 per hour for $102 for the day. ($20/hour is the standard rate for classes held in my home during the year and in my extended day classes). Four is the maximum number of sewers for any session; am or pm.

• Frequent Sewer: 2 or more days in any given week. Cost is $15/hour or $45/day/session. Both sessions are $12 per hour for $72 for the day. It can be a morning class, afternoon class, or a full day. Four is the maximum number of sewers for any session; am or pm or full day.

• Camper: 5 days in any given week for 3 or more sewers. Cost is $10/hr per girl. It can be a Morning Camp ($150/girl - 15 hours) Afternoon Camp ($150/girl - 15 hours) or a Full Day ($250 which is $50 off the normal price of $300 for 30 full hours of instruction and based on availability. A camp needs to be booked ASAP.
  Note: Since these camps have 3 or more sewers, no other camper can be added to a group. One mom should call me to reserve the week/s of your choosing and give me the times to reserve (am, pm, or all day) and the names of the sewers in your group. All sewers must then register individually with me.
