“Summer Sewing Party”

 

v     Interested in learning to sew?

v     Are you a beginner sewer wanting to progress to the next level with your sewing skills?

v     Are you a sewer that wants to learn a new kind of sewing like quilting, clothing construction, or making doll clothes?

v     Are you interested in a possibly being a fashion designer?

v     Or, do you just want to sew and have fun with other kids who share your passion for sewing?

         

   Then these camps might be just for you! Starting with small projects allows campers to try sewing while teaching you basic sewing skills. Advance at your own pace and choose your projects for each week depending on your interests and your skill level. No two weeks are ever the same!  

Camps are small to maintain an enjoyable and optimal learning environment with no more than 6 students per session. Camps fill quickly so register early! Join in the fun and be able to say to everyone “Like it? I made it myself!”

 Ø       Camps will be held at the home of    Ms. Bobbi Smith, 3008 Larkin Rd, Boothwyn, PA 19061, approximately one mile from the Wilmington De/PA border and between Naaman’s Creek Rd (on the PA side) and Naaman’s Rd (on the DE side).

Ø       Campers must be 6 years old to attend camp or have permission from the instructor if younger than 6. Campers generally range in age from 6 to 16.

Ø       Weekly camps will start the week of June 17 and end the week of August 26

Weekly camps consist of two 2 sessions per day. Morning sessions run from 9am-12pm and afternoon sessions run from 1pm-4pm. Campers staying for both sessions will  

Ø       bring a bagged lunch and will eat each day from 12 noon until 1pm.

Ø       “Before” and “After” care are available each day for the convenience of working parents for $10/hr (min 1 hour).

Ø       Camp fees are $155 per week for one session and $275 per week for both sessions. Campers will be expected to bring a sewing kit and a  16 Qt Plastic Tote to camp. These items can be purchased from the instructor.

Ø       Supplies for projects such as patterns, trims, notions, fabrics, etc will be the responsibility of the camper. Supply sheets will be given for first day projects with receipt of registration. Instructor has a shop and kits can be purchased as an option from the instructor for any or all projects, if desired.

Ø       For each weekly session that you register your child (either morning and/or afternoon), a $50 non-refundable fee must accompany your registration.  The balance of payment for all camps is due by June 1, 2008.

Parents needing to cancel their child’s participation in sewing camp must give at least TWO WEEKS WRITTEN NOTICE or forfeit the entire camp fee to Instructor. Upon receipt of timely written notice, we will gladly refund your camp fee minus any non- refundable fees.
